The poem that was inspired by this sculpture is a little ‘desperate’ (in the fullest sense of the word), all the love one gives to a child is vain in advance if not only because of the inevitable death of every one of these ‘protagonists’; The bird leaves the nest despite all the love given to him/her, and that is the way is should be, but nostalgia sets in.
